
As a financial planner, Jim Farnham is committed to building a relationship of trust with his clients, working closely to help define their goals and objectives, explore alternatives and choose the financial and investment strategies that are most appropriate to their individual situation.
Jim’s most important goal is to help clients work towards their objectives, providing guidance that helps clients take control of their financial future. He wants clients to consider him a valued resource who can help make a more informed decision on any financial issue.
With more than 15 years of financial planning experience, Jim offers his clients a variety of services including wealth management, retirement planning, estate planning strategies, education planning, insurance strategies, and multigenerational wealth planning. Before joining Northeast Planning Associates, he worked as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and Edward Jones and served as a territory manager for a pharmaceutical and medical device firm.
Jim holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations with LPL Financial. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
Active in his community, Jim currently sits on the board of directors and executive committee at the Krempels Center, a non-profit that works to improve the lives of people living with brain injuries. He is also an Alumni Council Member for Lawrence Academy, where he attended prep school. Jim enjoys his role as head coach for youth hockey and lacrosse in Exeter, NH. Jim participates annually in the Pan-Mass Challenge cycling event to raise awareness for innovative cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.
Jim and his two sons reside in Exeter, NH, with their black lab, Murray. When not at the office Jim enjoys mountain biking, surfing and hiking with his family.
